Elisa Alcabes, Founder  
ESL for Lawyers, LLC

Elisa is a lawyer and English language coach based in New York and Madrid. She has more than 30 years’ experience practicing law at top-tier firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where she managed complex litigation, advised private equity clients and corporate boards on sensitive legal issues and coedited a 3-volume law treatise. After completing her career at Simpson Thacher, Elisa launched her own firm, Alcabes Law, PLLC, where she handles litigation, negotiation and other legal matters. Elisa is certified to teach English as a foreign language, and her writing skills are outstanding. Elisa holds dual citizenship in the United States and Spain. She lives with her husband in New York, where they raised three children.
